Costume that bump!

It is almost Halloween, which means it is the one time of year where no matter what age you are, you can dress up without getting weird looks. You get to be something completely different for a day. Today, I got to rock it out as a rock star and it was so much fun! I know that sometimes pregnancy can seem like it makes everything just a little bit harder, but I think if you are pregnant during Halloween, you have an advantage. You have something no one else has…a canvas to paint! That is right, you can just simply paint that beautiful belly, and then dress around it!

For instance, you can paint it to look like the Earth, and then dress in black with stars all over so you are the galaxy surrounding the Earth. You could even paint it to look like a pumpkin, and then dress in green and be a pumpkin patch! There is always the “A Pea in the pod” look, and paint it a light green, then clothe yourself in dark green to be the outer pod. Paint a muffin or “bun” then dress in grey with a grey box around you, to be “a bun in the oven”. If you have someone who is really artistic you could paint your belly to look like a fish bowl, and then dress dress in black and let the belly do all the work!
